Next week marks the 20th annual conference on Open-Book Management, the Gathering of Games. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch from May 9th through 11th. Conference participants will celebrate and kick off the 20th Anniversary of the Gathering of Games on May 9th, 6pm, at Busch Stadium, home of the 2011 World Series Champions. This networking reception will be an all-inclusive event: dinner, drinks, tour of the stadium, and a Q&A with Jack Stack. During the conference, the Great Game of Business will announce the 12th annual All-Star Award Finalist and Winners. On May 10, they will host a ceremony to recognize and celebrate the remarkable achievements of companies from around the globe that have fully embraced the principles of Open-Book Management and The Great Game of Business and have demonstrated outstanding results. The Open Book community will honor three (3) finalists with the coveted All-Star Award, as well as the Rookie of the Year and Hall of Fame Inductee of 2012.
The Gathering of Games is a great opportunity for any business leader to objectively evaluate the pros and cons of Open-Book Management and decide if it could be right for them. Through a rich schedule of workshops, sessions, and the All-Star awards ceremony, they gain valuable opportunities to share best practices with peers and compare what works and what doesn’t. Fresh ideas and inspiration will be plentiful and flowing from the All-Stars, the top performers in the OBM community. Conference participants will take away tons of useful tips and tools that can be implemented immediately into their own business. Finally, they will see first-hand how to turn ‘Sharing the Numbers’ into measurable, sustainable results to improve the bottom line. Registration and information for the Busch Stadium Networking Reception and for the Gathering of Games Conference is available online. Nancy Rodriguez manages Operations & Marketing at Skeleton Key.
