Backward Compatibility for FileMaker 18
FileMaker Pro 18 Advanced and FileMaker Go 18 clients will work with FileMaker Server 16, 17, and 18 as well as FileMaker Cloud for AWS 1.17 and 1.18.
You may want to consider installing the new software on one or two computers or devices and start testing your solution for compatibility. While we aren’t expecting any major compatibility issues with this release, we still recommend doing some testing before rolling out the new version to all of your systems and make sure your workstations meet the minimum system requirements. You’ll also want to make sure any third-party plug-ins or services are compatible with FileMaker 18.
When you’re ready, we’d love to work with you to deploy the latest version of the FileMaker Platform. We can help you identify opportunities to leverage the new features and create a plan to migrate your existing FileMaker systems – just give us a shout.
