We believe every good project starts with a good plan. To that end, we like to start every new client relationship with a project that is aimed to produce such a plan. In fact, we’ll often return to our consulting options between projects to ensure the next phase of work gets executed just as well as the last one.

Pre-Project Consulting

$500 – $4,000

If you’re considering a new project, but are not yet ready to commit to specific details and decisions, let’s collaborate and figure out what’s possible and viable. Our pre-project consulting option is a great fit for exploring what’s possible, but only on a whiteboard or on paper, without any limitations imposed by existing systems or solutions.

Existing System Orientation

$2,000 – $10,000
Two (2) people at a minimum
One (1) to four (4) weeks

If you’re looking for a new team to manage an existing system, rescue an existing project, or extend an existing solution, we’ll take a look under the hood, create the missing documentation, and give you an honest assessment of both what’s possible and recommended.

Discovery, Design & Planning

$1,500 – $30,000
Two (2) people at a minimum
Two (2) to twelve (12) weeks

We’ll spend time with you and your team to dive deep into the challenges you’re facing and plan a path to a better tomorrow. The output from this effort will be a roadmap for your project, complete with the deliverables that make the most sense for your specific situation, e.g.:

A clear, written definition of project success
Technical diagrams of the data model and deployment architecture
Well-defined requirements and a complete list of features for development
One (1) or more quotes for custom development with related project timetables

Custom Development Services

Every development project is different, but they can be roughly grouped into a few categories. The information below is intended to provide some general guidelines. The best way to determine what size project you might need is to talk with us about it.

Small

$15K to $35K+
Three (3) members of our team
Two (2) – six (6) weeks

Projects of this size range from a single, two-week sprint to the development of a ‘minimally viable product’ or ‘first phase’ solution.

Medium

$25K to $75K+
Four (4) members of our team
Four (4) – thirteen (13) weeks

Projects of this size produce a rock-solid application with an intuitive interface and a more complete feature set. At the smaller end, this would be the the first phase of a multi-phase project; at the high end, this could be a ‘feature complete’ solution that will meet all of your day-to-day needs.

Large

$65K to $150K+
Four (4) or more members of our team
Eight (8) – twenty-six (26) weeks+

Projects of this size produce a commercial-grade application with a polished interface, as well as third-party integrations, and often support a variety of user types, as well as desktop, mobile, and web interfaces.

Technical Coaching

Not ready to outsource the whole thing, but still in need of occasional expert advice? Whatever your reasons or level of experience, our coaching options let you tap into the combined knowledge of our entire organization, on-demand.

Basic

$2,150 – $4,300
Ten (10) – twenty (20) hours
Usually consumed over a one (1) – six (6) week period.

We’ll pair you with a primary developer point of contact from our team. If they can’t answer all your questions, they’ll find someone from our team who can. It’s great for navigating a specific or immediate technical hurdle, as well as for strategic guidance over a longer timeframe.

Intermediate

$4,300 – $12,900
Twenty (20) – sixty (60) hours
Three (3) weeks – six (6) months

Everything we offer in the Basic Coaching plan, but over a sustained period of time, or to meet a more frequent need for escalation or support during an active in-house project.

Software Support

The best custom software not only meets your current needs but keeps adapting to your needs over time. Sometimes that means a new Consulting project is warranted to help us all plan for a successful second round of work, but often just a small fix or change is needed. That’s where our on-demand support and development services come in, allowing us to jump in and help you adapt quickly and efficiently.

Hourly

$215/hr
Billed in 0.1-hour increments
Available on a ‘time and materials’ basis for established clients with flexible payment terms.
Available on a ‘prepaid’ basis for new clients.

Managed FileMaker Hosting

Not all clients can or want to host their solutions on-premise or to manage their care and feeding over time. No matter where your people work, we can offer you reliable and performant solution hosting so you can focus on your business and not on maintenance or mitigation. All of our managed hosting solutions are fully monitored and managed, and support ODBC, the Data API, External Authentication via OAuth, and synchronization (if needed).

Good

$2,200/year
Recommended for up to thirty (30) FileMaker Pro/FileMaker Go users.
Suitable for light use of FileMaker WebDirect.
Includes 100 GB of encrypted storage (20 GB for data).

Better

$3,180/year
Recommended for over 30 FileMaker Pro/FileMaker Go users.
Suitable for moderate use of FileMaker WebDirect.
Includes 120 GB of encrypted storage (20 GB for data).

Best

$5,340/year
For complex solutions with heavy processing and higher user counts.
Includes 240 GB of encrypted storage (40 GB for data).
