Claris updates: MCP, FileMaker Server 22.0.4 & OData webhooks

This week saw several important releases from Claris for the FileMaker platform.

FileMaker Server 22.0.4 update is now available

This update includes several key features and fixes:

  • macOS Tahoe 26 support
  • OpenSSL Upgrade to 3.5 LTS
  • Apache Tomcat Upgrade
  • OData enhancements
  • Addresses issues in security, FileMaker WebDirect, and OData

Review the FileMaker Server 22.0.4 release notes for further details.

In addition, FileMaker Cloud 2.22.0.2 was released this week, which addresses some critical issues users had reported with PDF display for fonts and some characters.

Improved FileMaker 2025 compatibility with macOS Tahoe 26

Regarding macOS Tahoe 26 support, we’ve seen multiple reports that the MacOS Tahoe 26.2 update fixes crashes that have been occurring with FileMaker Pro 22.x.

In case you missed it, the FileMaker Pro 22.0.4 and FileMaker Go 22.0.4 releases added official support for macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26, and iPadOS 26. Read more about the issues this update resolves in this Claris support article.

OData enhancements: FileMaker Server webhooks

One other important callout from this week’s updates is the addition of FileMaker Server webhooks in OData. This update allows a webhook to be called when either schema or data changes in a FileMaker table, regardless of which client or API made the change.

This is a pretty big deal, and I’d recommend reading this high-level overview from Rick Kalman on the Claris Community forum.

Claris MCP for FileMaker released

Claris has launched Claris MCP for FileMaker, giving developers and businesses a faster, simpler way to connect FileMaker solutions to AI solutions. Built on the open Model Context Protocol standard from Anthropic, Claris MCP enables natural-language interaction with FileMaker data and workflows, allowing users to ask questions, trigger scripts, and update records through AI, while maintaining full control over security, permissions, and business logic.

The no-code, cloud-hosted solution automatically exposes FileMaker scripts and tables to compatible AI agents; includes built-in security reviews and audit logging; and requires no local server deployment. Designed to help teams add AI capabilities in minutes instead of weeks, Claris MCP positions partners and developers to lead real-world AI integration.

Claris MCP is now available in most regions globally, but only the North America region is formally supported during this initial phase of release. Expanded regional support via worldwide data centers will be offered in a future phase.

Technical requirements for MCP include:

  • Must be running FileMaker Server 22.0.2 or later with OData and Data API enabled on the server.
  • Any accounts used to create a connection must have both fmrest and fmodata extended privileges, and those accounts also need full access to all fields in the table specified in the connection.
  • You must be a team manager in your Claris Studio team to access Claris MCP Configuration.
